About us:

As the state’s largest rural council, the Coorong District Council offers unique employment opportunities that contribute to the betterment of our community. We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Community Facilities Team Member to join our Community Facilities Team. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining and upgrading our assets, ensuring that our parks, gardens, and public facilities are clean, safe, and welcoming for all.

 

About the position:

  • Perform maintenance on town roads, footways, reserves, buildings, and community facilities across the Council district.
  • Operate various plant and equipment, following safety protocols.
  • Record daily activities and maintenance tasks for costing purposes.
  • Work cooperatively within a team while also being self-motivated.

About you:

  • A qualification in Horticulture or equivalent or demonstrated experience in a similar field.
  • Experience operating plant and equipment
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and adhering to safety protocols
  • Construction Induction Certification ( White Card )
  • Current MR class drivers’ licence
